WARNING: Avoid Inspection Fraud. Recent examples:
1. Adams district: $65,000 to tear down and replace one chimney and repair the second one. I reinspected it and cleaned both and installed two chimney caps for $699.
2. Inglewood: $55,000 to tear down one chimney and rebuild. It had a big crack in the "STUCCO". Not the chimney. I cleaned it and installed a chimney cap for $250.
3. Central L.A. $45,00 to tear down chimney at the roof line. I am going to clean it, install a damper and chimney cap for $799.
This happens just during a regular chimney sweep as well. Be careful with these people. Call me. I don't do fraud and I can probably help you if one of these companies tries to "over charge" you.
